A HEALTH CAMP WAS ORGANISED BY INSTITUTE OF PHARMACEUTICAL RESEARCH




“HEALTH IS WEALTH” Keeping this motto in mind Institute of Pharmaceutical Research  had organised a  series of  health camp in the following rural areas from 24th May,2013 to 8th June,2013
These  camps were organized  under Coorporate Social Responsibilty  (CSR)Vision of GLA University.
Various routeine health check up tests like Analysis of Blood group,  measurement of B.P., Weight, Height  and BMI (Body Mass Inex)  were carried out in this camp.
Through this blog  we, faculty of Institute of Pharmaceutical Research want to show our gratefulness to all villagers, village Pradhan  for their cooperations  and support and without it our purpose couldnot be solved.

WHY?




          There are so many careers in the health field in which a person can choose from. But you can choose to be a pharmacist for so many reasons because being a pharmacist; you involve and lead to becoming an important member of a health care team. Pharmacists are experts in drugs developed to treat and prevent human diseases. They advise doctors and patients on which prescriptions and over-the-counter drugs, medicines and therapies are appropriate for treating certain health conditions. Pharmacists are considered one of the most visible and one of the most accessible health care professionals in the world. Every day, billions and billions of people walk into drug stores and depend on pharmacists for assistance and advice for their health care needs. They prepare medications, fill prescriptions, and teach patients how to take the medication. The dynamic evolution of pharmacy practice, as seen through the eyes of new professional students, encompasses the need for improvements in medication safety, access to pharmaceutical care, reducing the incidence of adverse drug events, enhancing cultural competence in the deliver of care, the acquisition of advanced training for delivering pharmaceutical care, involvement in disease state management, and the delivery of medication therapy management services.
          Pharmacists are highly qualified professionals with a specialist in medicines. Studying pharmacy is intellectually demanding and stimulating as you will acquire in-depth knowledge of a range of subjects from the basic and applied sciences such as physiology, biochemistry and advanced neuropharmacology to social pharmacy concepts. You will develop advanced communication and problem-solving skills as well as research skills in the laboratory or practice setting. The M. Pharm course provides graduates with the skills required to follow a variety of career paths. The pharmacy degree equips you with an extensive knowledge of medicines, one of the most common interventions used in promoting health and preventing disease.
          You can choose a field or career as per your preference and as per your personal style, be it taking up a job, starting a business, or a joint venture. With an advance in the medical field, the demand for pharmacists is increasing and the scope of application of this field too is widening. But, becoming a pharmacist requires a basic degree in pharmacy along with commitment, hard work and passion for the job.




So Don’t Worry! If You Choose Pharmacy as Career, Your future is indeed in good hands!
